NCAA Basketball National Championship ©

Tomorrow night, the same day as MLB's opening day and Tiger Woods' big Masters press conference is the Night of College Basketball's Division 1 National Title, although it will be overshadowed it still figures to be a good game. Duke a #1 seed faces Butler a #5 seed in a true David vs. Goliath matchup. Duke has yearly expectations if bringing in McDonalds all-americans, while Butler has never had one. Duke has had Mike Krzyzewski as their head coach since 1981, while Brad Stevens has been the head at Butler for 3 years and was 5 years old when Coach "K" started at Duke. Duke has had 55 all-americans compared to 0 for Butler. Duke is going for their 4th national title, while Butler had only twice gotten to the sweet sixteen prior to this year. The basketball history between these schools couldn't be much more different, but when they both take the court tomorrow night all of that goes out the window. They both share a common goal and both believe they can achieve it. Coach Stevens has gotten them prepared and fired up all season and this game shouldn't be any different. Duke may be a 7 point favorite, but don't count out those Bulldogs who have beaten teams this year who they had no business beating. It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit for this Bulldog team led by their baby-face sophomore Gordon Hayward who figures to join the NBA fraternity either this summer or next, to pull off the upset and become champions in one of the craziest NCAA basketball years to date.
